Happy March! This month our Bird’s-eye view calendar pinup is the beautiful and understated Black-faced Cuckooshrike (Coracina novaehollandiae). You might see these birds in your garden, at the local park, in farmland, or in urban areas. This Black-faced cuckooshrike is one of a pair that frequent our garden and surrounding houses. I included this photo in the calendar because I loved the light, the bird posing, and I wanted you to know that these birds exist!
They have a really interesting call which you can listen to here. These birds are also known as ‘shufflewings’ because they, like others in their species, tend to shuffle their wings when they land.
Speaking of landing, in March a new Red-browed finches design has landed in my Etsy shop or can be ordered direct from me. Below is a little sneak peak of some new items.

The red-browed finches feature on tea towels, tote bags and cushion covers (both made to order), cards, postcards, and a notepad and pen set.
Other updates include a reintroduction of postcards and bookmarks that can be purchased individually for available designs on my Etsy Shop (rather than as a pack).
Both rainbow lorikeet (new design from last month) and red-browed finches original artworks are available.
I hope your March is a good and safe one. Thank you as always for reading this far and for being here.
