December here we come!

Hi friends, happy December! This month’s photo on your calendar is of a Nankeen Kestrel perched overlooking what remains of the 12 Apostles.  This is the second photo that inspired the idea of naming the calendar ‘Bird’s-eye view’. I took it in 2016 on my phone while I was travelling on the Great Ocean Road. I was very distracted that day and did not see the Kestrel at first until I was just about parallel to it and I noticed a woman across from me madly gesturing. It was only then I saw it! Luckily I was able to capture the moment before the Kestrel flew away, gliding effortlessly down to whatever prey it spied below. Whenever I see this photo, it always reminds me to stay present in the moment, otherwise I miss the beautiful gifts that are right in front of me – literally and figuratively!

Since this is our last month on the 2022 calendar, I wanted to say thank you for taking the journey with me and for allowing me to share these moments with you over the year. I appreciate your support so very much. I hope you have a wonderful December, and if it is a gift-giving month for you, I hope finding those gifts is effortless. Speaking of gifts, if you happen to be looking for a new calendar, the 2023 Bird’s-eye view calendar is still available! (Did you like what I did there?!). If you are in Australia, you can order one from my Etsy shop or directly from me via Facebook and I can post it to you – AU$30 including postage in Australia.

Have a lovely December and the very best seasons greetings to you. Maybe I will see you in 2023 with stories from the next calendar 😊
